洛神花被稱為植物界的紅寶石，適應性強，喜光耐熱，一般在3-5月播種，9-12月採收，株距1~1.5公尺，每穴3~5粒種子，植株50-80公分左右打頂，使其萌發更多側枝，增加產量。
